AWESOME!!! I’ve taken this to the range twice now and still haven’t even given it an initial cleaning and it didn’t miss a beat! I’ve been using steel cased Tula ammo and it ate it up! Not one malfunction! And it’s accurate!!! I would definitely recommend this rifle! AK power and reliability, cheap to shoot, and AR15 looks feel and accuracy!

Before buying my Windham SRC 7.62 X39 I read several reviews and a few YouTube videos. And I only read one bad review, and I’m very pleased to say this won’t be number 2. This rifle runs like my AK and is alot more accurate, even with cheap Tula ammo. Sporting an Eotech sight W/magnifier and I’m holding a quarter size shot group, that’s 20 rounds in the size of a quarter. Great rifle especially for the price.

First off I got to say ukrguns has a fastest delivery time that I’ve ever seen. I purchased this gun on Thursday and was picking it up on Saturday. Customer service was great and very helpful. Now for the gun, this rifle is great. Took it to the range first day out and put about 300 rounds of steel case Tula through it. Gun never hiccuped an ate every round I put through it. No misfires, no light primer strikes, no nothing. Once the optic was dialed in I was shooting 2″ groupings at 200 yards with the cheapest ammo known to man. I purchased a modified firing pin and heavy duty hammer spring strictly as a precaution. But have not put them in yet and might not. Thanks Bud I forgot to mention buds had the best price I could find online.

Well built, super accurate. Occasional lite primer strikes with steel case ammo. There are aftermarket firing pins available to easily solve as well as videos to modify the existing firing pin. I really like everything about the rifle except since the firing pin is a known issue and most people will by this gun to shoot cheap ammo, why doesn’t Windham make the easy fix.

Did not even try the mag that came with it. Using C product mags. Slapped on a aero mount and vortex 1.75-5 scope. Was Testing two bolt guns at the time, but decided to try and put this to the test, first time firing, I recieved a 1 moa 3 shot group with ppu fmj, 3 inches off to the right of poa. Next two groupings were 2 and 3″s. Very pleased with my purchase through ukrguns, and really like the Windham Weaponry in 7.62×39. I have a feeling this will be a favorite of mine since i love aks and this round. I am anxious to test this rifle further !

I got my new 7.62×39 Windham Weaponry. I haven’t got the opportunity to try it out but it looks great and built super tough. I love the way it feels and I am confident that it will be far better than I expected. I wanted the caliber for hogs and deer. it’s a middle caliber that can meet any animal that I want to hunt. With all the different grains and types of ammo, out there, I am sure that I can find the exact bullet that will meet my needs plus I can buy bulk ammo for the day that it is needed. I didn’t want the AK or SKS type rifles because I prefer the AR style. My only problem is that I bought a 223 or 5.56 built buy another company that makes excellent firearms but I wish that I had stuck with the Windham brand. Windham Weaponry seems to have everything that any AR enthusiast would want or need. Guys and Gals, Before you buy an AR, please check out Windham weaponry. I think that you will love them and ukrguns is the only company to purchase them from. Excellent calibers and anything that you will ever need.

To start off ukrguns was great can’t complain, and this is my 7th gun purchase from buds. However, the rifle in question is a total piece of trash and wind ham sucks a big one will never buy wind ham product again. Rifle arrived in great shape went over to the range and fired off one mag with no problems, thought i had a good rifle until I tried to load another mag and thats when the problems started. Total FTF, FTE, TOTAL BCG JAMS(can’t even extract the bolt back total jam). Thinking this was the problem I ordered a new Nickle boron BCG at 180.00$$$$ went back to the range only to have the same problems as before tried different mags, ammo, and bcg to no avail. Now I currently have the rifle with a certified gun smith who specializes in ARs at 60.00 per hour to try and fix the problem. Stay as far away as you can from this rifle, and don’t waste your money like I did. Windham puts out crap rifles. Gonna have well over a thousand dollars into this crap rifle after all is said and done.

First, ukrguns was excellent! Fast Service and accurate service. Purchased the SRC in 762.39 a couple of months ago, added Magpul Pro MBUS, switched out furniture and went to the range. After reading reviews about the D&H Mag, bought mags from ASC. Using Winchester brass, the first round from the mag didn’t load, tried another mag same thing. Inspected all mags and tried again. Success! Don’t know what the problem was; me or the mags, but everything loaded and fired from then on. I really like the fit and feel of the Windham Weaponry firearm and the accuracy of the rifle is better than I am. Next time, I will see how the steel cased ammo does. I really like this rifle!

In regards to the rifle I am very happy with my purchase. It is amazing rifle for the money. If you’re looking for a quality well-built AR 15 platform without having it chambered in 5.56 then this is a great choice. It definitely has a little more umph than your standard 556. It’s exactly what I was hoping for when I purchased this gun. Just take note that if you are going to put standard sights on it the front sight uses a rail level front sight and it heats up rather hot, so a metal front sight will be needed. Great gun and great service.

Purchased this fine rifle from ukrguns based on reviews here and other web sites. As others have stated, the fit and finish of this rifle are superb at this price point. Shipping was fast once Bud’s called me to verify details of my purchase. Several days of research went into this decision. Although cost was a factor, the quality of WW products was also a major factor. The rifle shipped with one 30-round magazine, a nice instruction booklet (with fairly detailed photos) for those of us that haven’t handled an AR type rifle in several decades, all packaged in a plain black plastic case. It is easy to see why folks rave about this rifle. I was immediately impressed with the “feel” of the weapon – it seems well balanced and well designed on a time-tested platform. I field stripped it to become familiar with the AR-type rifle I remembered from my days in the USAF, and it felt like being reunited with an old friend. Although I haven’t yet been to the range with it, I am confident this will be my “go to” long gun for many years to come. You could spend much more on an AR type rifle, but why would you ? Extremely accurate gun and fun to shoot. Second Windham rifle and both are excellent and well built. Quality through and through. Mounted a Leupold 3x9x40 and 200 yard shoots on a eight inch target is a never miss. I did have some loading problems from clip to the barrel on my second shooting trip. Brought the gun home and did a thorough cleaning, took it back and it cycled perfectly. No problems and have cycled 500 rounds since.

Purchased a few weeks ago. Shipping was surprisingly fast (my third firearm purchase from ukrguns). Initial impressions of the rifle is that it is well built, superb finish and functions as it should. Some of the brand snobs will scoff, but this rifle is every bit as good as a BCM or Daniel Defense (Of which I have an example of each). Cleaned, oiled, installed some MI pop-up irons and a Vortex SPARC II and off to the range to break it in. Fired about 200 rounds. The gun functioned flawlessly with a mixture of surplus Yugo brass case, some steel cased Russian hollow-points and steel case Tula FMJs. The supplied DH magazines are built like tanks and function was spot on…the ASCs I bought, not so much (4 malfunctions: 2 FTF, 2 double feeds). The rifle was a pleasure to shoot and definitely has a bit more thump than a 5.56. I would recommend this rifle to those who prefer the AR ergos over the AK (I do), the ease of different sight options and of course, a .30 caliber bullet for those that want to use it to hunt.

I bought this rifle when the price dipped below $500. I researched the gun and purchased it all in the same day, usually I take longer then that. The rifle came in great shape and delivery from time I placed the order till I received it was four business days. The rifle is well built and when compared to my M&P 15’s looked just as well built as they are. You can tell that they took pride in making the rifle and that it will last a long time. I have only shot brass 7.62×39 out of it so far and it preformed just like you would expect perfectly. I had no FTF or any other problems. I only shoot 90 rounds through it because I only have one magazine for it so far. The AR MagPul magazines fit in it perfectly but i have not found any followers to change them to be able to run the 7.62 through . It shot very accurate but my eyes are not what they use to be so I put a scope on it and will update this review if it is not as accurate as my M&P’s are. I am comparing it to the M&P 15T and M&P 15MOE not the Sports models. I own a Arsenal Sam7SF-84 and the Windham shot as well as it did. I would highly recommend this rifle if you want to shot 7.62 out of a AR type rifle. I am looking to buy the AR-15 model because I think they are that good of a value. I rely on reviews to decide on my purchases so I give my honest opinion no matter if the product is good or bad. If I had to rate my gun knowledge and experience on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best I would say 6. This is no $2,000 rifle but I would compare it to one double the price with no problem.

I bought this rifle in December of 2015. I can now say after about 1000 rounds that I know everything about this gun. First let me say this is my favorite rifle ever. It eats anything you feed it. Brass, steel, fmj and hollow point. Russian ammo, American ammo,Korean ammo, the only bullet I had difficulty with is lead tip or soft point. It doesn’t feed well. That is the only negative. Everything else is a smash hit. Accuracy is unbelievable! My Windy is a tack driver. It shoots one inch moa at 100 yards with Wolf 123 Grain HP. I have taken several hogs with it and a couple of deer. I can get hit after hit at 300 yards on steel targets. Some of them are Prairie dog silhouettes. This gun is light, quick on target and packs lots of firepower with the cheap and easy to find 7.62×39 round. The magazine that comes with the rifle is the only mag I will recommend. I bought a few other brands and have feeding issues. I bought a ton of the factory mags and have had zero problems except for the afore mentioned soft tip bullet . This rifle will replace alot of guns in your arsenal. It’s such a well made, accurate, reliable weapon it will most likely be your go to gun. The lower is multi caliber so you can put an array of uppers on. 5.56, 300 acc too. Windham Weaponry has made a lifelong fan of me. It’s absolutely affordable too on ukrguns awesome layaway plan. I kept mine completely stock, only adding the scope mount and Nikon optics. There’s no need to mess with success. Best AR I’ve ever owned hands down.

This is my second Windham rifle with my first being in the 5.56 Nato caliber. Both are extremely well made. I’ve always wanted to try the 7.62×39 caliber round in an AR style rifle. The AK rifles are inherently inaccurate with their loose tolerances, poor sights and short sight radius. So it was no surprise when I took the Windham SRC to the range for the first time with a 3X optic from Primary Arms (which I also highly recommend). After a few shots at 50 yards to zero the rifle I started shooting at 100 yards. It was a very windy day, so definitely not ideal but I immediately started shooting 1″ groups using Romanian ammo that I bought years ago in a spam can. In short, amazing! If this rifle can shoot that well with cheap surplus ammo I doubt I’ll ever use anything else. Nice job Windham! I’m planning to do some hunting with this rifle in the future, something I would never have considered with an AK rifle. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. My recommendation: Buy one

I’ve never been a big AK fan unless it’s auto,but this is right up my alley. Very reliable and accurate. A perfect option for cheaper AR shooting,especially these days given our political climate. 762×39 is cheap and I had a few FTF,but Tula stuff is hit or miss. Thumps alittle harder then 5.56,but manageable. I recommend definitely.

Arived in good time, rifle in perfect condition, after breaking in its shooting hole in hole at 60 yards. 30 rd magazine was a little choppy at first but after cleaning and lubing mag out all good now. Living in Maine allows me to take my WW gun to their shop if needed and I had them add a low gas block and a free float rail. Then an employee who is an Army Sniper dialed in the scope for me. WW got the 763×39 right, no FTE or FTF. Use good mags like D&H and you have your new favorite AR-15. If you buy one and have issues, don’t take it to your gunsmith, WW will fix it for free for life. My first WW, but not my last.

This is my favorite AR. I have seven. This one is not the best out there but it can handle Steele cased and brass both without issue. The mags are expensive but worth it very high quality. Only negative is no front sight . Of course that is personal preference. I like the fixed front sight. But this does have the high one. The gas block rail is lined up with rail on upper. Do everything lines up nice. Basic furniture on rifle. Which is easy to change. This was my first wind helm rifle. I will be looking at the rest of their line of firarms. For the money this rifle is the best I have found. They spent money on where it counts inside. No fancy furniture overpriced with crap inerds. This rifle has the bare furniture or basic style. And put money on barrel and trigger which is very springy for follow up shots. And chrome lined barrel is very acurate. I have read chrome barrels are not acurate as none chrome. This one proves that wrong. Once I put it in holder I was getting 3 inch groups. Even with hot barrel it was 4.5 inch and only one was at 5. Even Tulammo was getting nice group . I was really amazed at how well it performs. Only con is furniture. But im glade they saved money and put it elsewhere on performance areas. And it shipped in a plastic carry case. Thanks ukrguns this is a great rifle 7.62 X 39 chrome lined barrel. AR style. Best of both worlds. When you want to combine AK power with AR accuracy.,this rifle by wind helm is a great one.

Function 100% on either a C product magazine and the included magazine with any brand of ammo I fed including the Russian manufactured ammo. Shoots a good and descent group. I have not fired at a bench rest so I’m sure it will be really tight next time I do it on a bench or in a prone position with a bipod installed. The trigger can use some improvement cause it has a heavy pull. I regret that I only bought 1 of it cause after I had it tested my friend wanted one and the price went up to $792, for almost the same money you can by a .308 DB 10 which is more accurate in my opinion. I am happy with the value I paid for, I wouldn’t have purchased for $792.

This rifle is fun to shoot! Amazing quality for the price that is worth the buy. Fresh out of the box I had one light primer strike using cheap Tule about 70 rounds in. No other hiccups that day using said ammo. After cleaning and oiling, this rifle has not flinched. Ringing steel all day at 220 yards with iron sights is not a problem. The rifle is very accurate, and kicks a lot more than the 5.56 variant. It is very fun and somewhat more challenging to shoot this beast accurately. My only issue is that the Diamondback rear iron sight had to be adjusted waay over left to zero it with the Magpul Pro front iron sight. Maybe the front gas block rail is minutely misaligned or maybe I have a funny sight combination. I also had to adjust the elevation on the front sight to its max as well. She is a nail driver and chews through cheap ammo like a champ. Buy it.

ukrguns was great on the shipping and my dealer was great overall a smooth transaction. I can say that this feed all steal case ammo and brass ammo. To my surprise no FTF or FTE. I have over 500 rounds used. This was bought for hunting and cheep target practice. Their are no sights provided with this. I used a 2×7 Leopold scope. The brass ammo federal blue box was MOA and the steal went from 1.5 to 2 moa. I’m happy with this.

I don’t know what anybody else’s experience with this rifle has been, but I absolutely love it. At first I had a few jamming and feeding issues with the mag that came with it (a D&H Tactical 20 rounder) but after purchasing a few aftermarket 30 rounders from C products, function was flawless. This is my first Windham rifle, and it won’t be my last! The fit and finish of the rifle is superb. I had previously purchased a Ruger AR556 due to its price, and while I love that gun also, it does not have the finish of this Windham rifle (MPC 7.62×39). The rifle came with plastic gun case (inexpensive plano type; non-locking), mag, manual, Windham “catalog” and a plastic chamber “hold open”/pin extractor tool. The pins holding the upper and lower pop out easily, yet securely “lock” into place. Overall, you can’t go wrong with WW, especially given their fully transferable lifetime warranty.

ukrguns shipped to my FFL quickly. Their customer service was great as well! But that’s not what you want to read about, right? Using Tula 124 grain hollow points, I zeroed my scope at 50 yards. Several three shot groups had holes touching on the paper. The last group of 3 cloverleafed and could be easily covered with a nickel. This was using a cheap BSA 3-9x 40 scope I pulled off of an old muzzleloader. Hey, I wanted to shoot it… While I only loaded 10 rounds at a time in the 30 round magazine, I had ZERO feeding issues and ZERO light primer strikes. The trigger is a milspec trigger and pulls at around 8 pounds… not pleasant. I have a CMC drop in trigger group to be installed with 3.5 lb pull. This trigger group was recommended by the folks at Windham Weaponry. I bought this primarily for hunting feral hogs at ranges under 100 yards.
