This rifle is smooth. I’d been in the market for an AK variant for some time and had been very interested in the ACE platform. When I was unable to find a Gen 1, I turned to this rifle. I was never a big fan of AK ergonomics, but I do enjoy shooting the 7.62×39. The rifle is very smooth and functions well. I like the ambi controls even if they’re a bit stiff and will probably get better over time. I haven’t shot it much yet, but it eats garbage ammo and shoots it well, which is a big win. The recoil is more manageable than an AK, it gives a nice manageable thump. The trigger isn’t anything special, but it’s not horrible. The take-up is clean, but the break is a bit mushy. My only complaint is the breakdown. I have to remove my scope in order to get the dust cover back on. It’s very tight and is a chore to get on. I get it keeps the rifle clean and holds a good zero, but it turns into a fight. I almost feel bad with how hard I have to hit the back of it to get it to slip on. This is something that will hopefully get better over time. Overall I’m very happy with it. It’s built very well and feels like a tank. It shoots great and reliably. I’m looking forward to getting it back out to the range.

Better than any ak I’ve owned or fired a bit heavy and some wiggle in buttstock but that can be replaced 5 stars great rifle highly recommend

The fit and finish on this rifle is fantastic! Everything is tight and very well put together. I recommend you watch small arms solutions YouTube channel for disassembly and reassembly of the rifle. He has some good tips. Top cover is rock solid and I have no doubt that my optic will retain zero. Only knock which is a knit pick is the buttstock. The Magpul it comes with rattles even with the friction lock. I replaced it with a BCM stock. My US palm mags did not work with the rifle but my Gen 2 and 3 magpul mags worked fine.
